This CSO initiative was the response to the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness and its significant role therein

A new platform that will group together civil society organisations working on development issues across the world, was established on 8-9 December 2012 in Nairobi, Kenya.

A meeting between representatives of the BetterAid and Open Forum, of which CONCORD is a member, named the new platform the ‘CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE)’.

The new platform will work on the issues of the global development effectiveness agenda, which includes making aid, development and civil society organisations more effective.

Representatives endorsed the new Nairobi Declaration for Development Effectiveness which guides the work and represents the foundation of the CPDE.
