The expiration date of the Cotonou Agreement and the 10th EDF are quickly arriving. Therefore, many questions and concerns arise upon the future of the ACP-EU partnership. This report builds on a high level event organised by CONCORD to exchange views with the different actors involved.

The Cotonou Partnership Agreement setting out the framework for EU relations with ACP countries will come to an end in 2020. The future of the partnership up to the end of the agreement and the actual post-Cotonou era is currently uncertain.

In a context of change at global and regional levels alongside the emergence of new actors, challenges are arising. Therefore, civil society organisations from EU and ACP countries will focus on political dialogue in order to agree on common goals and strategies to achieve sustainable development.
