Riccardo joined CONCORD in September 2017, as Policy and Advocacy Trainee, following Migration group (HUB1) and Global Citizenship Education & People Engagement (HUB4). He is a European Studies Master candidate, at the Political Science School “Cesare Alfieri”, University of Florence. He also studied at Sciences Po Bordeaux. He has been dealing with Euro-African relations and international migrations since the beginning of his studies: before graduating from the University of Florence (October 2016) – with his thesis on the Convention of Lomé – he left for Morogoro, Tanzania in 2014, serving as counselor and fundraiser in Impegnarsi serve, an Italian NGO advocating for global education and international solidarity. He then worked for Centro Altreitalie, the international journal of studies on Italian migrations in the world, where he worked on the freedom of movement within the EU. In the fall 2016, he was assistant and coordinator of the Educational programmes of the Historical Archives of the European Union, in Florence. He is member of the Association of European Migration Institutions and currently a contributing author of Blog RISE, handling European current affairs.
