Riccardo Roba

Advocacy and Policy Officer

Riccardo is a European Studies Master candidate, at the Political Science School “Cesare Alfieri”, University of Florence. He studied also at Sciences Po Bordeaux.

He has dealt with Euro-African relations and international migrations ever since. In 2014, he left for Morogoro, Tanzania serving as international volunteer in Impegnarsi serve, an Italian NGO advocating global education and international solidarity. He worked then for Centro Altreitalie, the international journal of studies on Italian migrations in the world. In 2016, he has also been assistant and coordinator of the educational programmes of the Historical Archives of the European Union, in Florence.
In addition, he is currently author and head of Sub-Saharan Africa section of the editorial board of Blog RISE. He speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Riccardo joined CONCORD in September 2017, as Policy and Advocacy Intern. By now, he is Policy Officer, in charge of the coordination of the workshop on toolkits, of several work streams (starting from the EU-ACP and EU-CELAC bi-regional relations) and supports the Policy and Advocacy Team.
