Martina is a development and humanitarian professional with over 20 years of international experience advancing children’s rights, gender equality, and sustainable development across Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

In her current work at Plan International’s EU Liaison Office, she leads institutional partnerships and donor engagement, supporting resource mobilisation and strategic collaboration with European institutions and civil society partners.

Throughout her career, Martina has contributed to responses to major humanitarian crises and protracted emergencies in countries including Haiti, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Libya, Sierra Leone, and Zimbabwe, supporting programmes in health, education, child protection, and community resilience.

With academic backgrounds in Political Science and Development Cooperation, complemented by studies in business administration, strategic influencing, global security, and foresight, she combines operational and programmatic expertise with strategic vision.

Martina is passionate about fostering partnerships that empower communities and civil society organizations. She is also actively engaged in exploring how emerging technologies can support the non-profit sector while promoting critical reflection on ethics, inclusion, and human rights.
