In May 2024, CONCORD launched its research, ‘A gateway to equality? Insights from El Salvador and Lesotho on tackling inequalities in the European Union’s Global Gateway programmes.’ The research found that although infrastructure projects do have the potential to reduce inequalities, Global Gateway in its current form must be rethought to ensure projects do not aggravate inequalities. CONCORD presented the findings of this report at an InfoPoint organised by DG INTPA.

We are also gearing up for our post-elections activities, and are getting ready to mobilise to influence in the institutional renewal process. So far, we’ve been making noise on social media along with our members.

Finally, CONCORD brought members together in Brussels for our General Assembly at the beginning of June. We thanked and bid farewell to our outgoing members, and welcomed some new ones. We were also delighted to welcome two new organisations to the CONCORD family.
