Responses to the EU SDG multi-stakeholder platform targeted consultation
The Commission Decision setting up the multi-stakeholder platform on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the EU (C(2017)2941 final) states that the platform should ‘contribute to the reflection work preparing for the long term implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as to the assessment of the progress made and making suggestions for more effective implementation on this basis’. On 13 September, the Commission President, in his letter of intent, announced a sixth Reflection Paper ‘Towards a Sustainable Europe by 2030’ on the followup to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including on the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
In the framework of this Reflection Paper, which is planned for publication in the second half of 2018, the Commission sought the views of the members of the SDG multi-stakeholder Platform. Answers to the consultation questions included in this document were expected by 21 February 2018. In order to collect the variety of views of all members of the multi-stakeholder Platform, the consultation was addressed to each member individually
