Are you passionate and experienced about working with the EU instruments for development and humanitarian aid?  

We are a small team of highly specialized individuals who are looking for a new colleague who is confident and experienced in working with EU instruments, yet still keen to learn and develop within Save The Children.  

If you are ambitious, dedicated and innovative in your approach to partnerships and how to secure funds for Save the Children’s work in the future, you might be the right match for us.  

We are looking for a colleague to drive EU partnerships forward through co-creation with country offices, pre-positioning with EU delegations through strategic dialogues and close interaction on ongoing and future potential cooperation.

Your duty station would preferably be HQ in Copenhagen, but we are open to remote solutions.

You will

– Provide targeted support to country offices with strong EU funding potential 

– Support engagement with EU Delegations, EU regional hubs and ECHO offices 

– Work with country offices and regional teams to identify emerging EU funding opportunities 

– Support strategic positioning ahead of calls for proposals or direct award opportunities 

– Facilitate stronger coordination between field offices and HQ EU engagement 

– Provide operational and technical support for EU proposal development when needed 

– Provide quality assurance prior to submission of proposals 

– Provide guidance and mentoring to CO/RO teams on EU engagement and positioning 

– Support internal learning and knowledge sharing on EU funding modalities 

– The position requires substantial travel, approximately 8 – 12 weeks annually

– Hands on experience with EU funding 

– Ambition to grow within the position 

– A high degree of drive and ambition towards developing exceptional skills and expertise in EU funding instruments 

– Strategically thinking and with a keen eye for future opportunities 

– Dedicated, ambitious and pragmatic with a high level of self expectation 

– Ability to work effectively with people of different cultures and seniority
