First Learning & Exchange Forum- European NGDOs addressing shrinking civic space

CONCORD members gathered in Budapest on 8th and 9th November to discuss the shrinking space for civil society in Europe. This event, the first of its kind, aimed to foster information-sharing and mutual learning between our members on the solutions they are exploring. Our Hungarian members, HAND, supported the preparation of the event and highlighted the extreme situation for civil society in the country.

What did the General Assembly 2016 bring to us?

CONCORD Europe organised its General Assembly on 13 and 14 June 2016 in Brussels. The main topic of the whole event was “CONCORD facing shrinking civic space in a Europe in crisis”. Learning and exchange was at the heart of the agenda and members have addressed key questions which Civil Society is facing today: gender, paradigm shift, civic space, inclusiveness… Members took also the time to reflect on the new strategy endorsed one year ago.
