Twice a year, parliamentarians from both the EU and the ACP countries gather in ‘Joint Parliamentarian Assemblies’ (JPA). During this event, EU and ACP representatives adopt measures concerning the improvement of their relations and implementation of the Cotonou agreement. Civil society from both regions has a say on the topics discussed.
EU civil society actively engages in this dialogue and participates in diverse activities in the framework of JPAs. Furthermore, civil society prepares updated briefings on the main issues that concerns civil society from EU and ACP countries.
These papers focus on diverse topics such as policy coherence for development, climate change, food security, trade, EDF, budgetisation, etc.
