WHAT IS THE REPORT ABOUT?
The Global NGO Technology Report, based upon the survey results of 5,352 NGOs from 164 countries, is an annual research project that seeks to gain a better understanding of how non-governmental organisations (NGOs) use technology. CONCORD supported the 2018 edition in sharing the survey among its network. This unique report, available in 5 languages (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish) analyses how NGOs worldwide use web and email communications, online fundraising tools, social media, mobile technology, and data management and security software.

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS FOR EUROPE?
Based on the 151 answers, the survey reveals that online technologies are highly used by European NGOs. Among the striking figures, let’s highlight the use of social media with 93% of NGOs having a Facebook page, 82% a YouTube channel and 90% a Twitter account. Website and online technologies (like Whatsapp) are becoming increasingly popular to get in touch with donors and supporters.
