Digitalisation is becoming a vital part of our world, and by extension of development cooperation. It represents new challenges and opportunities for our sector. This report, commissioned by FOND Romania and CONCORD Europe, analyses key digital trends and impacts of digitalisation on the development agenda as well as explores the opportunities for civil society organisations.
Digitalisation is one of the key and most dynamic mega-trends influencing development today. In order to understand how the future of development cooperation will be shaped in the digital era, and to map how familiar European NGOs and CSOs are with these concepts, CONCORD and FOND Romania launched a survey.

For two days, on December 6th and 7th, CONCORD and the FIP-IFP organised a seminar on the post-Cotonou process. These 2 days closed with a multi-stakeholders debate, titled “Stand up for a better future for all”. What came out of this process? What have we learned? What are the next steps? CONCORD Europe organised its General Assembly on 13 and 14 June 2016 in Brussels. The main topic of the whole event was “CONCORD facing shrinking civic space in a Europe in crisis”. Learning and exchange was at the heart of the agenda and members have addressed key questions which Civil Society is facing today: gender, paradigm shift, civic space, inclusiveness… Members took also the time to reflect on the new strategy endorsed one year ago.
